Atlanta Nursing Job Details

• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Georgia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Extended Recovery – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: November 24, 2025 | End: February 21, 2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1610

PACU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or Extended Recovery Registered Nurse experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Availability to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) during the contract
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from Atlanta, GA

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in the extended recovery unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, including vital signs and recovery progress
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and comply with hospital protocols
