Atlanta Nursing Job Details
- Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Georgia nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Extended Recovery – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: November 24, 2025 | End: February 21, 2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1610
PACU RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or Extended Recovery Registered Nurse experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Availability to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) during the contract
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from Atlanta, GA
PACU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in the extended recovery unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status, including vital signs and recovery progress
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and comply with hospital protocols
