Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Knoxville, TN 37920 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Contract
- Unit: Neuro Critical Care (NCC) – with floating to Medical Critical Care as needed
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- End Date: February 16, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730 - $1,770
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 and 3:1
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (Friday/Saturday nights)
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holiday blocks (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Block Scheduling: Available
- On-call: Not required
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
- Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro Critical Care or Medical ICU preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee (required at time of submission)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and Stroke certification required
- Experience with Cerner EMR charting system required
- First-time travel nurses are not accepted
- Ability to float between Neuro Critical Care and Medical Critical Care units
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and required holidays
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Local candidates must reside outside a 25-mile radius of Knoxville
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in Neuro Critical Care and Medical Critical Care units
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
- Float between NCC and Medical Critical Care units as assigned
- Comply with all hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Participate in orientation and complete required onboarding modules
