Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Knoxville, TN 37920 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Contract
• Unit: Neuro Critical Care (NCC) – with floating to Medical Critical Care as needed
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 16, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730 - $1,770
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 and 3:1
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (Friday/Saturday nights)
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holiday blocks (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Block Scheduling: Available
• On-call: Not required
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
• Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro Critical Care or Medical ICU preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee (required at time of submission)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and Stroke certification required
• Experience with Cerner EMR charting system required
• First-time travel nurses are not accepted
• Ability to float between Neuro Critical Care and Medical Critical Care units
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and required holidays
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Local candidates must reside outside a 25-mile radius of Knoxville

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in Neuro Critical Care and Medical Critical Care units
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
• Float between NCC and Medical Critical Care units as assigned
• Comply with all hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
• Participate in orientation and complete required onboarding modules
