Travel LPN Job Details – Madison, WI
- Location: Madison, WI 53718 (Wisconsin healthcare jobs)
- Facility Type: Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
- Assignment Type: Travel LPN contract
- Start Date: September 30, 2025
- End Date: December 30, 2025
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Electronic Health Record: EPIC
- Unit Size: 49 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:7
- Dress Code: Any color scrubs and sneakers
LPN Qualifications & Requirements
- Active LPN or LVN license (Wisconsin LPN license preferred)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- At least 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) setting
- EPIC EHR experience required
- Experience in acute inpatient rehab or acute rehab hospital required
- Skilled nursing experience alone is not sufficient unless accompanied by 2 years of IRF or Med Surg experience
LPN Responsibilities – Inpatient Rehabilitation & LTC
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as hypertension, CVA, Parkinson’s, post-craniotomy, spinal and brain injuries, joint replacements, and more
- Perform blood glucose monitoring, follow insulin protocols, and provide feeding tube care
- Manage swallowing precautions and thickened liquids for patients
- Care for ports, PICC lines, and initiate IVs as needed
- Administer supplemental oxygen and manage isolation precautions
- Implement wound and ulcer care protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient recovery and quality of life
- Accurately document all care in EPIC EHR
