PICU RN Job Details
- Location: Springfield, IL 62769 – Top destination for Illinois nursing jobs with excellent amenities and cultural attractions.
- Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing – Healthcare contract
- Start Date: October 27, 2025
- End Date: March 15, 2026
- Duration: 20-week travel nurse assignment
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend, no call
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2030–$2180
PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license – required for Illinois healthcare jobs
- Minimum 1 year of PICU or pediatric nursing experience
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric critical care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
PICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and family members to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with hospital policies
