Location: Springfield, IL 62769 – Top destination for Illinois nursing jobs with excellent amenities and cultural attractions.
Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Employment Type: Travel Nursing – Healthcare contract
Start Date: October 27, 2025
End Date: March 15, 2026
Duration: 20-week travel nurse assignment
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend, no call
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2030–$2180

PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license – required for Illinois healthcare jobs
Minimum 1 year of PICU or pediatric nursing experience
Current BLS and PALS certifications
Strong clinical skills in pediatric critical care
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

PICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and family members to develop and implement care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with hospital policies
