Location: Springfield, IL 62769 – Explore Illinois' capital city, known for its rich history, scenic parks, and vibrant healthcare community.
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Start Date: October 27, 2025
End Date: March 15, 2026
Duration: 20-week nursing contract
Shift: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, no on-call required
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200 - $2360

PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license (required at time of application)
At least 1 year of recent experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
Current BLS and PALS certifications
Strong clinical assessment and pediatric critical care skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy abilities

PICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to pediatric critical care treatments
Collaborate with physicians, pediatric specialists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
Educate and support families during critical care situations
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment for patients and staff
