PACU RN Job Details – Ithaca, NY

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 28, 2024 – August 27, 2024)
Setting: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU nursing jobs)
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts per week)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in New York State or compact nursing license
Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting

PACU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and status, responding rapidly to any changes
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care activities
