NICU RN Job Details
- Location: Ithaca, NY (14850) – New York healthcare jobs
- Unit: NICU – Maternal Child Health
- Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
- Start Date: October 20, 2025
- End Date: January 19, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts/week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU and post-partum nursing experience
- Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) or higher
- BLS certification required upon hire
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Ability to meet physical demands: repetitive hand use, light lifting, extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking
NICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to NICU and post-partum patients in the Maternal Child Health department
- Collaborate with unit leadership and adhere to nursing standards (AWONN, ACOG, NNA, AORN)
- Conduct patient observation, data collection, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Support the physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of patients and families
- Operate and maintain clinical equipment and healthcare technology
