Key Job Details – Pediatric OR RN

• Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 (West Virginia pediatric nursing jobs)
• Facility: Leading Children's Hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Setting: Pediatric Operating Room (6 ORs & 1 procedural room)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (10/20/2025 – 1/19/2026)
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Shifts: 2 eight-hour and 2 twelve-hour shifts per week (preferably 10:30am–7:00pm on 8-hour days); weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Call: 1 call shift per week; 1–2 weekend calls; rotating holiday coverage; mandatory standby with 30-minute response time
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,280–$2,450
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrubs: Provided
• Orientation: 2 days with checklist completion

Qualifications – Operating Room Registered Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates awaiting licensure)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (pediatric OR experience preferred)
• Ability to float to 5N/1W & Children's units as needed
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, call, and holiday coverage
• Scrubbing experience preferred but not required
• Must provide a valid, unexpired driver’s license (address must be outside 50 miles from facility)

Primary Responsibilities – Pediatric OR RN

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
• Assist with a range of pediatric surgical procedures: tonsillectomies, hypospadias repairs, craniotomies, cardiac, and orthopedic surgeries
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Participate in call rotation and respond within 30 minutes as required
• Float to other pediatric units as needed to support patient care
• Complete accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
