• Location: Urbana, IL 61801 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Emergency Department (ER)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: November 24, 2025
• End Date: February 21, 2026
• Shift: Night Shift, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1980 - $2030 per week
• Call Requirement: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts; must be onsite within 1 hour if called)

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care within the scope of RN practice
• Implement emergency procedures and evidence-based nursing practices
• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with providers, patients, and families
• Adapt and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all nursing care provided
• Promote patient and staff safety by following established safety protocols and promptly addressing hazards
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and families to foster a supportive environment
• Provide constructive feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development
• Meet all departmental competencies and engage in continuous learning opportunities
