Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Tulsa, OK 74104
- Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (25 beds)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/12/2025 – End: 2/11/2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1500
- Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Float Requirement: Yes, within scope
- Documentation System: EPIC
- Scrub Color: Navy
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- EPIC documentation experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience (2 years preferred)
- Ability to float to similar healthcare units as needed
- Proficient in blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin/insulin administration, isolation precautions, IV and PICC line management, wound care, telemetry, tracheostomy care, and rapid response/code teams
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses
- Maintain safe patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and accurately document care in EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to similar clinical units within scope as required
- Participate in scheduled weekend and night shift coverage
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare procedures
