• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Job Type: Travel RN Assignment

• End Date: February 21, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12 hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2200 - $2260

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent judgment skills
• Basic computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, email, web browser)
• Excellent communication skills and multicultural sensitivity

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, clinical protocols, and evidence-based practices
• Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Monitor and document patient progress, modifying care plans as needed
• Perform bedside lab testing and maintain quality control in compliance with hospital policies
• Promote patient and staff safety, including proper use of lift equipment
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and delegate tasks appropriately
• Provide effective shift reports and advocate for patients
• Engage in professional development and share clinical knowledge with team members
• Utilize effective communication and teamwork strategies to achieve optimal patient outcomes
