Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Boston, MA 02215 (Massachusetts nursing jobs)
- Unit: Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (TSICU), 8-bed SICU
- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
- Start Date: November 24, 2025
- End Date: February 21, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Hours: 36 hours per week (72 hours biweekly guaranteed)
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night); every other weekend required
- Patient Ratios: 1:1–3
- Floating: Not required
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2360–$2420
SICU RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts preferred)
- Minimum 2-3 years of recent SICU and Level 1 Trauma nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Must not reside within 50 miles of Boston (no local travelers)
- Must not have worked as a permanent employee for Beth Israel Lahey Health within the last 6 months
- Ability to work rotating shifts and every other weekend
Surgical ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill surgical patients in a fast-paced SICU setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced nursing interventions
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
- Participate in unit-based initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts
