Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Jackson, Michigan (Zip: 49201) – Michigan healthcare jobs
• Setting: Hospital CT Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Radiology Technologist
• Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 11/24/2025 – End: 2/21/2026)
• Shifts: Monday–Friday, third shift likely 6:00pm – 6:30am; one weekend per month (every 4th weekend rotation); block scheduling available (must include weekends)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250–$2310 per week
• Number of Positions: 3

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Applied Science in Radiology
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• ARRT (CT) certification or registry-eligible
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Experience working independently in fast-paced healthcare environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Peripheral IV insertion experience or willingness to obtain training
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork in healthcare

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform computerized tomographic radiology procedures and general diagnostic radiology exams
• Explain CT examination procedures and prepare patients for imaging
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient history as needed
• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain medical supplies
• Set up equipment and perform CT scans, manually controlling equipment for optimal diagnostic results
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions
• Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
• Practice radiation protection principles (ALARA techniques, shielding, equipment settings)
• Ensure high-quality image delivery and resolve PACS/RIS exceptions
• Transport patients to and from the Emergency Department as needed
• Document procedures and patient care in medical and radiology information systems
• Demonstrate team member standards of excellence, including open communication, positive attitude, and respect for diversity
