Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Stockbridge, GA 30281 (Greater Atlanta area)
• Assignment Length: 14 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
• Unit: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit – 4/2 Central, 20 rooms, average daily census of 18
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1460-$1500
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics with renal and acute medical conditions
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Colors: Navy, white, or combinations
• Floating: Required to similar Med/Surg units
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Call Requirements: None

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current and active GA or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Experience with renal patient care, HD cath management, and manual PD/PD cycler preferred
• Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
• Full compliance with onboarding and orientation requirements

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg hospital setting
• Specialize in renal patient management, including HD cath, manual PD/PD cycler, and CKD/HTN emergencies
• Monitor and manage patients with sepsis, ETOH (CIWA), UTI, and other acute medical conditions
• Utilize Epic for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Float to similar Med/Surg units as needed and maintain flexibility in assignments
• Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays as required
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment
