Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Stockbridge, GA 30281 (Greater Atlanta area)
- Assignment Length: 14 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
- Unit: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit – 4/2 Central, 20 rooms, average daily census of 18
- Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1460-$1500
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics with renal and acute medical conditions
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Colors: Navy, white, or combinations
- Floating: Required to similar Med/Surg units
- Weekends: Every other weekend required
- Call Requirements: None
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Current and active GA or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- Experience with renal patient care, HD cath management, and manual PD/PD cycler preferred
- Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
- Full compliance with onboarding and orientation requirements
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg hospital setting
- Specialize in renal patient management, including HD cath, manual PD/PD cycler, and CKD/HTN emergencies
- Monitor and manage patients with sepsis, ETOH (CIWA), UTI, and other acute medical conditions
- Utilize Epic for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication administration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
- Float to similar Med/Surg units as needed and maintain flexibility in assignments
- Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays as required
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment
