EP Lab Technologist Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an EP Lab required
  • First-time travelers with EP experience encouraged to apply
  • Valid DC state license (active or pending)
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES/RCIS
  • Preferred certifications: ARRT, Fluoro permit
  • Experience with Cerner charting system
  • Proficient with Philips X-Ray, Siemens X-Ray, GE Micropacer equipment
  • Two supervisor references required
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

EP Lab Technologist Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist in cardiac electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implants/explants
  • Monitor hemodynamics and EKG settings for inpatient and outpatient cases
  • Operate advanced imaging and mapping equipment (Philips, Siemens, GE, Biosense, Abbott/ESI)
  • Participate in special procedures: Head-Up-Tilt test, Cardioversion, Internal Loop Recorder, Pacemaker/Defibrillator implants
  • Maintain sterile field and assist with groin closure devices, peripherals, and laser lead extraction (preferred skills)
  • Document procedures and patient care accurately using Cerner
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • No on-call, weekend, or floating requirements
