Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Unit: Neuro Surgery PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30), rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,940 - $1,990
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
• Float Requirement: May float to other hospital units

PCU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license: Ohio or compact state license required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing
• Two professional references required (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological and medical conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), myasthenia gravis, spinal cord injury, and other neuro diagnoses
• Perform and manage specialized procedures including lumbar drains and EVD monitoring
• Administer medications, blood products, cardiac drips, and insulin drips
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Float to other units within the hospital as needed
• Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
