• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00), holiday rotation included
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes, within scope and similar units
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent SICU RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation
• Not accepting local travelers (must reside outside a 60-mile radius)
• First-time travel nurses not accepted

SICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult and geriatric patients in the SICU
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2, ensuring safety and optimal clinical outcomes
• Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations
• Utilize Epic for accurate and timely healthcare documentation
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in cardiac and neuro patient management
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Assist with advanced procedures including chest tube insertion/removal, arterial line management, and ventilator management
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team
• Maintain infection prevention standards and isolation precautions
• Support patients and families throughout critical illness and recovery
