• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), holiday rotation included
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570-$1680
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within scope and to similar units
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required for South Carolina nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac and neurocritical care experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to float to similar units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Not accepting local travelers (must reside outside 60-mile radius)
• First-time travel nurses not accepted

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac and neuro conditions
• Administer emergency medications and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Care for patients on ECMO, ventilators, and advanced cardiac devices (IABP, Impella, Swan Ganz, CRRT)
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal, arterial line management, and post-cardiac surgery care
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy and phlebotomy
• Float to similar units as needed to support hospital staffing
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled
