Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or interventional cardiology
• Valid BLS certification required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to teach and educate others

Key Responsibilities in Cardiac Cath Lab

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (including femoral and radial approach, IFR, FFR, balloon pumps)
• Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment: C-arms (GE), Maclab hemodynamic system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, EPIC EMR
• Assist with balloon pumps and temporary pacemakers
• Collaborate within a 24/7 STEMI program and foster a positive healthcare team environment
• Float between procedure rooms and pre-op area as needed
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and support staff
