Telemetry RN Job Details

• Unit: Cardiac Telemetry (Unit 2E)
• Healthcare Facility: 300-bed acute care hospital
• Location: Olathe, KS 66061 (Kansas City metro area)
• Start Date: November 30, 2025 (flexible: December 1 or December 15)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Rotation: Required
• Holiday Rotation: Required (choose 1 day to work from each major holiday)
• Floating: Float to all acute care units as needed
• Orientation: Comprehensive multi-day orientation provided
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,750 - $1,870

Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Experience with TR Band post-procedure care
• Proficient in administering and titrating cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem)
• Familiarity with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation protocols
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float to all acute care units as needed
• Preferred: 2-5 years of Telemetry nursing experience

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications and drips according to hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families
• Accurately document nursing care in EPIC EMR
• Float to other acute care units as required
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations per unit needs
