Endoscopy RN Job Details

• Location: Hazel Crest, IL 60429 (Chicago area healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing

• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Rotation: Every other Saturday

Endoscopy RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy RN experience (3-5 years preferred)
• Clinical experience with ERCP, upper/lower endoscopy, EUS, and SpyGlass procedures
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to circulate and scrub basic tech cases
• Skilled in pre- and post-procedure care, including moderate sedation and patient recovery
• Telemetry experience is a plus

Endoscopy Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic and minor operative procedures
• Circulate in procedure rooms and assist with basic tech cases as needed
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation for endoscopy patients
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure recovery care
• Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow ASPN patient ratio guidelines and hospital protocols
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
