- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,950 - $2,000 per week
PACU RN Job Details – Atlanta, GA
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
- Healthcare Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Start Date: December 22, 2025
- End Date: March 21, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 40
PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU, pre-op, or post-op nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
- Proficient IV insertion and IV therapy management skills
- Willingness to work 1 major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve) during the assignment
- Travel nursing candidates only – no local applicants within 50 miles of Atlanta, GA
PACU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Monitor and assess patient recovery following anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely
- Perform IV insertions and manage IV therapies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record
- Support and educate patients and families throughout the pre-op and post-op process
