ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Glens Falls, NY 12801
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990 - $2130
• Unit: 16-bed ICU with overflow capacity
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday; no on-call required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of nursing experience, including at least 2.5 years in Critical Care/ICU settings
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• EPIC charting experience required; Cerner EHR experience preferred
• De-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) required (training resources available)
• Ability to float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units (max 4 patients)
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (religious/medical documentation accepted)
• Not eligible if worked at this facility in the past year or within AMC network in past six months

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced ICU setting
• Monitor and manage invasive pressure, cardiac, and oximetry equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Participate in de-escalation and crisis intervention procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC and Cerner EHR systems
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Adhere to hospital policies, including shift cancellation (up to 5 shifts per contract) and vaccination requirements
