PCU RN Job Details
- Location: Augusta, GA 30901 (Georgia nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 12 weeks
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: February 23, 2026
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1660-$1700
- Setting: Resource Float Pool – PCU, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (approx. 6 weekends per 13-week contract)
- Floating: Required to all PCU, MS, and MS/Tele units
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in PCU, Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry nursing
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
- Ability to float between PCU, MS, and MS/Tele units as needed
- Strong clinical skills in cardiac telemetry, central/arterial line care, ventilator management, dysrhythmia management, and wound care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
PCU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage IVs, including cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Provide ventilator care, manage feeding tubes, and perform wound care procedures
- Accurately document all patient care activities in Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to various units as required to support patient care needs
- Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
- Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays per assignment policy
