Travel RN Opportunity – Nashville, Tennessee

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

• Unit: CDU (12 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Shift Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
  • Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Floating Policy: Contract labor floats first; rotation used when multiple contract staff are scheduled

  • IV pumps
  • Telemetry
  • Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs)
  • Continuous Pulse Oximetry Machines
  • Feeding Pumps
  • Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA)
  • EKG machines
  • Bladder scanner
  • iMobile communication technology
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Unit Staffing: 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) per shift; no unit secretaries
• Patient Experience:

  • Emphasis on attentive and compassionate care
  • Bedside shift report required
  • Ability to build personal connections with patients and families, involving them in care plans

• ACS Verified Level 1 Trauma Center
• Certified Chest Pain Center
• Burn Center

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Advanced Skills: Not required
• Procedures on Unit: None specified

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs (tops and bottoms)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
