West Virginia Nursing Job Details

• Location: Weston, WV 26452 (Central West Virginia)
• Facility: 70-bed rural acute care/telemetry unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential extension)
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00), weekdays and every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1610
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• EMR System: Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med/Surg Telemetry, acute care, or hospital nursing jobs
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong telemetry skills required; pediatric and charge nurse experience preferred
• Willingness to float to ER, ICU, and other clinical units as needed
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Minimum two manager or charge nurse references within the past two years

RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adults, geriatrics, and occasional pediatric/adolescent patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other units (ICU, ER, OP-Surgery) to support patient care as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to start
