Radiology Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech); 1.5 years accepted with Level I Trauma or travel healthcare experience
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Active Connecticut state license (pending accepted, must be active prior to start)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency in general radiography, emergency department imaging, and portable X-ray for pediatric and adult patients
- Experience with Fuji and Carestream radiology equipment preferred
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- One professional reference required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Travel healthcare candidates only; local candidates (within 75 miles) not accepted
Radiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform general radiographic procedures for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Operate imaging equipment in the Emergency Department and for portable inpatient imaging
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and high-quality diagnostic images
- Maintain infection prevention and isolation protocols
- Document procedures and patient data in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver excellent patient care
- Participate in orientation and annual training modules
- Work alternating schedules, including every other weekend
