Travel RN Opportunity – Operating Room (OR)

Location: El Paso, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Call Requirements: On-call required, including weekends and nights rotation (approximately 4 weekend shifts per month)

Unit Overview

• Unit: Surgery, 1st Floor
• Number of Beds: 10 ORs plus 2 Endoscopy Suites
• Staffing: Approximately 120 staff members
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Typical Staff Mix:

  • Day Shift example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
• Equipment: Stryker, Da Vinci, Mako, Hana robotic systems
• EMR System: MediTech
• Permanent Positions: Not available at this time

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in a Level 2 Trauma center OR environment
• OR nursing experience required
• Robotics, Neuro, Orthopedics, Urology, and Vascular experience preferred
• Candidates without Level 2 trauma experience will not be considered

Preferred Experience

• Level 1 Trauma experience
• Minimum 2 years as an OR RN

• Robotics-assisted surgeries
• Neurosurgery
• Orthopedic procedures
• Urology
• Vascular surgeries
• Exploratory laparotomy (Ex Lap)
