Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (December 8, 2025 – March 9, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery (OBGYN Unit)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00pm – 6:30am), 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1930 - $2070
• Scrubs: Provided
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adults
• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active and valid Registered Nurse license (Illinois or compact state)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
• Experience with Pyxis medication system
• At least one supervisor reference required
• Ability to start within 2-3 weeks of posted start date preferred

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and neonates in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit
• Perform and interpret NSTs, OCTs, and sterile vaginal exams
• Triage obstetrical patients and utilize external/internal fetal monitoring (EFM, spiral electrode placement, IUPC placement and calibration)
• Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Administer blood and blood products as needed
• Draw venous blood and start/maintain peripheral IVs
• Operate infusion pumps and monitor IV drips
• Circulate and recover C-section patients
• Assist with epidural anesthesia procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
