• Location: Pueblo, Colorado 81003
• Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center – PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 4x10 hour days (06:30 – 17:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• No weekends, no call, no floating (unless staffing needs change)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2150-$2200
• Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 15-20 patients
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Dark Blue

PACU RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
• Pediatric recovery experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
• First-time travel nurses welcome if experience requirements are met

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients
• Provide safe, effective clinical support for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Monitor patient status, manage airways, and respond to post-anesthesia complications
• Administer medications and perform pain assessments and management
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and post-operative care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
