 <li>Location: Mayfield, KY 42066 (Western Kentucky healthcare jobs)
 </li><li>Unit: Medical/Surgical Unit (65 beds)
 </li><li>Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
 </li><li>Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/30/2025 – End: 3/1/2026)
 </li><li>Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend required
 </li><li>Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
 </li><li>Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800
 </li><li>Patient Ratios: Up to 1:8 with Patient Care Assistant (PCA) support
 </li><li>Electronic Health Record: Meditech
</li></ul>

<h2>Registered Nurse Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Active and unencumbered RN license (Kentucky or compact state)
 </li><li>Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
 </li><li>BLS certification (required before start date)
 </li><li>CPI, HWC, or MAB certification (required before start date)
 </li><li>Ability to float to similar hospital units as needed
 </li><li>Demonstrated compassion, kindness, and strong patient care skills
 </li><li>Must reside at least 60 miles from Mayfield, KY to qualify as a travel nurse
</li></ul>

<h2>Med/Surg RN Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Deliver exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit
 </li><li>Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
 </li><li>Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
 </li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
 </li><li>Care for patients with diagnoses such as COPD, post-operative joints, diabetes, and more
 </li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment following hospital policies
 </li><li>Participate in weekly orientation sessions (Mondays)
</li></ul>
