- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1720
- Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: EPIC
ER Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio RN license required at submission)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
- Ability to provide two professional references (one from a nurse manager, director, or supervisor)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions considered)
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department Observation Unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and manage dysrhythmias
- Administer IV insulin and heparin protocols
- Manage renal failure and cardiac/vasoactive drips, including titration
- Administer blood products and manage tracheostomies
- Initiate and participate in rapid response team interventions
- Perform wound care and manage wound vacs
- Provide non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy)
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy
