Hospice RN Job Details

• Job Title: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Mishawaka, Indiana (serving Marshall, Kosciusko, Elkhart, and St. Joseph Counties)
• Healthcare Setting: On-Site, Home Health Visits
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 8 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shifts per Week: 5 (8-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,939 – $2,154
• Productivity: 25-30 home visits per week
• On-call/Weekend Requirements: None

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or compact state nursing license (must be current at time of application)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Proficiency with OASIS and HCHB (Homecare Homebase) documentation systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)

Hospice Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate hospice care and clinical support to patients in their homes throughout Mishawaka and surrounding Indiana counties
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Accurately document patient visits and care using OASIS and HCHB systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure holistic patient care
• Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and end-of-life care options
• Maintain productivity standards of 25-30 patient visits per week
