ER RN Job Details – Urbana, IL
- Location: Urbana, Illinois 61801 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: December 8, 2025 – End: March 7, 2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
- Shift: 12-hour MIDS (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070 - $2120
- Call: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period (13-hour call shifts, onsite within 1 hour)
- Night Rotation: 2-week night rotation required (3x12 hour shifts)
- Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Strong clinical assessment, emergency care, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care abilities
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in accordance with the Emergency Department’s scope of service
- Implement emergency nursing procedures and evidence-based practices
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with providers, patients, and families
- Continuously evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of all nursing care provided
- Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety standards and promptly reporting hazards
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and families to foster a healing environment
- Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development
- Fulfill all departmental competencies and engage in continuous learning
