ER RN Job Details – Urbana, IL

• Location: Urbana, Illinois 61801 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: December 8, 2025 – End: March 7, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: 12-hour MIDS (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070 - $2120
• Call: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period (13-hour call shifts, onsite within 1 hour)
• Night Rotation: 2-week night rotation required (3x12 hour shifts)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical assessment, emergency care, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care abilities

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in accordance with the Emergency Department’s scope of service
• Implement emergency nursing procedures and evidence-based practices
• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with providers, patients, and families
• Continuously evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of all nursing care provided
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety standards and promptly reporting hazards
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and families to foster a healing environment
• Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development
• Fulfill all departmental competencies and engage in continuous learning
