Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Boston, MA 02115 (Longwood Medical Area)
• Unit: Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU/CICU)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: December 14, 2025
• End Date: March 15, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week), rotating days (7:00am–7:00pm) and nights (7:00pm–7:00am), or straight nights available
• Weekend Requirement: 3 of 6 weekends per contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2470–$2540
• Floating: Required to MSICU, MICU, NICU, ACCU as needed
• Scrub Color: Any solid color (OR-provided)
• Charting: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC)
• Parking: Discounted off-site with shuttle; free for night shift

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, permanent RN license (Massachusetts preferred for Boston nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent pediatric critical care experience (PICU, CVICU, or CICU)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS and PALS (current and valid)
• Experience with congenital heart disease (CHD) pre- and post-op care
• Ability to float to related critical care units as needed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Two professional references from two of the last three employers (different facilities)

Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric cardiac ICU patients, including those with congenital heart disease
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Cerner and EPIC EMR systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for pediatric cardiac surgery patients
• Float to other critical care units as needed (MSICU, MICU, NICU, ACCU)
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare safety standards
