Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Baltimore, MD 21209 (Maryland nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
- Unit: Pediatric Stepdown Rehabilitation (Meyerhoff Unit, 1st Floor)
- Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 09:00–19:30, Nights: 19:00–07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,930 - $2,070
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Orientation: 32 hours
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
- Scrubs: Any color or pattern
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience (rehabilitation or stepdown preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state (Maryland RN jobs)
- BLS (AHA) and CPI certifications required
- Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management in pediatric healthcare settings
- Proficiency in central/peripheral line care, NG tube management, wound care, and infection prevention
- Experience with Meditech electronic charting system preferred
- Ability to float within specialty and to lower acuity nursing units as needed
- Two satisfactory professional references (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Local candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric and adolescent patients with complex diagnoses, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, burns, feeding disorders, failure to thrive, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and post-orthopedic surgery
- Manage tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent pediatric patients
- Perform central and peripheral line care, NG tube insertion/management, wound assessment and care
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care using Meditech
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, OT, ST, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy
- Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions in accordance with healthcare standards
- Float to other nursing units within scope as required
- Participate in self-scheduling and work every other weekend and holidays as assigned
