• Location: Knoxville, TN 37916 (East Tennessee)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (1845 – 0715); every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1650 - $1770

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in Med/Surg or acute care nursing (2 years preferred)
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Initiate patient teaching and discharge planning from admission
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and maintaining a safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families
• Contribute to team building and a positive, efficient work environment
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
