Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan 48109
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shifts: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06:30–16:30 or 10:30–20:30); rotating shifts available (2x8s and 2x12s, or 5x8s)
- Call Requirements: 2–4 weeknight calls and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule (no call shift longer than 12 hours)
- Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2750–$2820
CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Scrub experience at proficiency level 3 or 4
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred
- Experience with adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Two manager or supervisor references required
- Ability to complete onsite orientation modules
CVOR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for adult patients undergoing complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries (heart and lung transplants, CABG, ECMO, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD, advanced vascular procedures)
- Scrub and circulate in the CVOR, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety protocols
- Operate advanced surgical equipment, including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
- Participate in a flexible call program (no call shift longer than 12 hours)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care
- Adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
- Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital policies
