• Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101
• Unit: Med/Surg 3D Ortho/Neuro Floor
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: March 9, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36-48 (guaranteed hours preferred at 48)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1890-$1940
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience with Ortho & Neuro focus
• Active Kentucky or compact RN license (NLC compliant)
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to obtain flu vaccine (no exemptions)
• Willingness to work holiday weeks (limited holiday RTO)
• First-time travel nurses accepted with strong Ortho/Neuro background

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 24-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit
• Manage post-operative care for total joint replacements, fractures, spinal surgeries, amputations, and bariatric procedures
• Monitor and care for patients with TIA, CVA, and other neurological conditions
• Administer medications, manage IVs, perform wound care, and drain management
• Operate specialized equipment including bariatric lifts, Bucks traction, CPM, and chest tube management systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, social services)
• Participate in unit rotation and on-call duties as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in rapid response/code teams
