• Unit Name: 6 Tower North - Cardiac
• Number of Beds: 29
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift:

    • 1 Charge Nurse (out of staffing)
    • 5 on telemetry
    • 3 on step down side
  • Night Shift:

    • 1 Charge Nurse (out of staffing)
    • 5 on telemetry
    • 3 on step down side
• Patient Ratios:

  • 4:1 on Telemetry
  • 3:1 on Stepdown
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Certifications

• Must Have:

  • ACLS
• Preferred:

  • EKG Training
  • Cardiac Experience

Typical Procedures

• Recovering Cath lab patients (stents, pacemakers, mitraclips, micrapacers, valve replacements)
• Managing cardiac drips
• Management of heart failure patients

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Personality Fit: Teamwork oriented with a priority on customer service

Certifications Required

• ACLS
• BLS

Additional Information

• Floating Areas: Other cardiac units and med-surg
• Dress Code: Scrub colors - Galaxy blue, Ceil Blue, Black, and Red
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (No on-call shifts)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
