Travel RN Opportunity – Critical Care Unit (CCU)

Location: Hendersonville, Tennessee

Unit Overview

Unit: Critical Care Unit (CCU)
Number of Beds: 20
Patient Ratios: 2:1 for CCU patients
Staffing: Unit secretary available days & nights; occasional tech support
Equipment: GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennett ventilators
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 36 hours per week, including 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
Floating Policy: Contract labor floats before core staff
Dress Code: Black scrubs required

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
Experience with Meditech documentation system
ACLS certification required
NIH certification required
Advanced skills: managing arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular & vasopressor drips, ventilated patients
Procedures performed on unit include bedside central line placement and massive transfusion protocol

Additional Information

The unit is a Clinical Transformation & Innovation (CT&I) alpha hub focused on leveraging technology to reduce EHR time and increase patient care time
Recent GE monitor upgrade
Highest level of care unit in Sumner County
Flexible scheduling options available
