Key Job Details – ICU RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts/week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours/week)
• Unit: Critical Care Float Pool (Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, NCCU)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990

Qualifications – ICU Registered Nurse

• Active RN license (Ohio or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system
• IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management skills
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leader)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in adult ICU settings
• Float between Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology, CVICU, SICU, MICU, NCCU as needed
• Perform advanced critical care procedures: IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, arterial and central line care, emergency medication administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy)
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses: transplant (kidney, liver, lung, heart), neuro, cardiac, surgical cases
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
