Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1890 - $1940
ER RN Job Details – Lansing, MI
- Location: Lansing, Michigan (48912) – Michigan’s capital city, offering vibrant neighborhoods, cultural attractions, and access to scenic parks and the Grand River.
- Healthcare Setting: Level I Trauma Emergency Department
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/9/2025 – End: 3/10/2026)
- Nursing Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4-week schedule
- Floating: May float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed
- On Call: Not required
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan (required by start date; compact licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level I Trauma Center
- Current certifications (must be valid by start date):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) by AHA
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) – Preferred
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric patients
- Manage patient ratios from 1:5-6, and up to 1:8 during high census
- Perform triage, assessment, and continuous monitoring for patients of all ages
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as indicated
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; respond to emergency situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
- Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed
- Complete orientation and all required education modules
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic medical records
- Work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule and 2 of 3 major holidays (with one holiday off)
