PCU Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Augusta, GA 30901 (Georgia nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 14 weeks
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 9, 2026
- Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36 (with 36 or 48 hour guarantee)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1660 - $1700
- Setting: Resource Float Pool – PCU, Medical-Surgical, MS/Telemetry
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Charting System: Epic (required)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (approx. 6 weekends per 13-week contract)
- Floating: Required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in PCU, Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry nursing
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required for all travel nurse jobs)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to float between PCU, MS, and Telemetry units as needed
- Strong clinical skills in arterial line management, cardiac telemetry, ventilator care, central line management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Willingness to work required holidays during the assignment period
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans
- Manage complex patient diagnoses, including cardiac, neurological, and post-surgical cases
- Utilize Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Float between units to support hospital staffing needs as a travel nurse
- Participate in orientation and complete all required compliance and training modules
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment
