Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience (or at least 1 year in Level I trauma center)
• Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license (required before start date)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Ability to circulate required; scrub nurse experience preferred
• Proficient in most OR specialties except CV & Transplant
• Willingness to float to other hospital units and affiliate hospitals
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during contract
• 2 supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care during surgical procedures in a busy operating room
• Circulate for diverse cases: general, plastics, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro, ortho, GU, colorectal, and robotic surgeries
• Operate specialized equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed for clinical support
• Participate in on-call rotation and holiday coverage
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
