• Job Title: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Charleston, West Virginia 25304
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (3 South)
• Contract Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 18, 2025
• End Date: March 19, 2026
• Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am), 36 or 48 hours/week options
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1730
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 (may flex to 1:5)
• Float: Required within scope to meet facility needs
• Orientation: Every other Thursday
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue/White (RN)
• Parking: Free for travel nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intermediate Care (IMC) preferred)
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending acceptable)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficient in IV Start, telemetry monitoring, and progressive care nursing skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical exemptions accepted)
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references within past 2 years

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide care for pre/post-op cardiovascular, medical cardiac, vascular, and detox patients
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and progressive care interventions
• Manage special procedures: ostomies, chest tubes, wound vacs/care, CPAP/BiPAP, central lines, PICCs, and cardiac drips (Heparin, Amnio, Cardizem, etc.)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy)
• Float to similar nursing units as needed to support patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic health records
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment
