EMG Technologist Job Details
- Location: Philadelphia, PA 19107 – Prime location for Pennsylvania healthcare jobs with access to public transportation, dining, and cultural attractions.

EMG Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an EMG Technologist, Neurodiagnostic Technologist, or related clinical support role
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with physicians, healthcare administrators, and multidisciplinary staff
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a hospital environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and electronic health records (EHR)
- Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, patient history, and EMG procedures
EMG Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform nerve conduction studies and assist physicians with needle EMG examinations in both laboratory and bedside settings
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain EMG equipment for each patient case, ensuring optimal function and cleanliness
- Demonstrate expertise in electrode placement and operation of neurodiagnostic equipment
- Record, interpret, and differentiate between normal and abnormal responses during EMG testing
- Accurately enter data into electronic health records and support hospital billing processes
- Compile monthly statistics and contribute to departmental reporting and quality improvement
- Teach and precept co-workers and students in neurodiagnostic technology as needed
