Key Job Details – Med/Surg RN Travel Assignment in Virginia

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Unit: LAC Resource Team – Med Surg Oncology
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 14, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (potential extension up to 16 weeks)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Average Hours per Week: 36
• Weekends: 2-3 weekends per month, based on unit needs
• Orientation: Every other Monday

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or Compact State (required at start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Oncology nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Experience with Cerner EMR (preferred)
• Ability to provide complete work history and explain any employment gaps over 90 days
• Submission of a current skills checklist
• All requested time off must be submitted at application

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Oncology patients as part of the LAC Resource Team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and accurately document care
• Float to other hospital units as needed, with travel RNs floating first per facility policy
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
• Work 12-hour night shifts, including 2-3 weekends per month
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies and healthcare regulations
