Med/Surg RN Job Details – Viroqua, WI

• Location: Viroqua, WI 54665 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
• Facility: Critical Access Hospital – Med/Surg Unit (Pediatrics, Adult, Ortho)
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Assignment Length: 12 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 6 shifts per bi-weekly pay period
• FTE: 0.90, with rotating holidays and every 3rd weekend
• On Call: No call required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or compact state (Wisconsin RN jobs)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience in Med-Surg Pediatrics, Adult, or Orthopedic nursing preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work rotating holidays and every 3rd weekend

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients, including pediatric, adult, and orthopedic populations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor patient progress, document care accurately, and report changes promptly
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment
