Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

- Unit: High-Risk Labor & Delivery
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: September 7, 2026
- Duration: 32 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every weekend required; flexibility needed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,590 - $2,660
- Orientation: Bi-weekly on Mondays
- Transportation: Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending licenses considered case-by-case)
- Minimum 2 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery RN experience in a large academic healthcare setting
- Recent EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months (required)
- COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays during assignment
- Complete work history with explanations for employment gaps over 90 days
- Reliable transportation (all-season or snow tires recommended November–April)
- Prior travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and adapt to changing patient care needs
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development for nurses
- Maintain compliance with all hospital and healthcare facility policies and procedures
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process
